Fantasy Fair 9
May 9th 1999

Well, yet another Fantasy Fair has come and gone from the Cresset Exhibition Centre, Peterborough.

The first Guest lined up was John Meaney, who has had a number of stories published in Interzone and Anthologies, and last year had his first novel, 'To Hold Infinity', published by Bantam.

The next two guests were Dave (Hodgesaargh) Hodges & Roger Mason. Dave is the basis for Hodgesaargh in a number of Discworld books by Terry Pratchett, and has also written, as Hodgesaargh, 'The Arts of Falconrie and Hawking', which includes an introduction by Terry (OBE) himself. - available for £3.50 from Gotch Rd. Barton Seagrave, NN15 6UQ. Roger's full colour comic 'The Body Swap' came out last year to general acclaim. He is now working on a black & white follow-up.

There was a handful of demonstrations / participation games that Pete Irving had arranged. Some exciting games were played by many!

A second Fantasy Dress Competition was held, photo's of which should appear here soon. This was over seen by Sue Thurston who is a member of the Costuming Guild and goes to the annual costuming conventions.
