     Based in Helpston near Peterborough, software firm Tree.House IT have launched a new game, Suzerain. Available as both an internet game and as an RPG, it is set in a universe where immortal spirits compete against each other to become gods.


     Local publisher Dedalus, who specialise in surealism, decadence and european literary fantasy, have just released it's latest catalog. New titles include "The Dedalus Book of Absinthe", Emperors of Dreams", "The Dedalus Book of Drugs", "The 19th Century" and the long awaited "The Decadent Traveller". The last follows on from the earlier "Decadent Cookbook" and the "Decadent Gardener".

     Local publisher Writers' Bookshop have just released the sixth edition of it's Small Press Guide. This includes listings of over three hundred small-press titles.      Meeting on the first Thursday of the month at The Greyhound, Kettering Road, Little Bowden, Market Harborough, is "The Monster Club", for fans of Horror, SF & Fantasy films, TV, books, comics etc. If you're in north Northamptonshire or south Leicestershire, give them a try.


     Local children's author June Counsel, is launching her first collection of adult fairy tales, "Once Upon Our Time", on Saturday 2nd December. Published by Glyndley Books, it is priced at £12.99. For full details about this, write to:-

     Due to be re-launched in early 2001, Bulldog Adventure Magazine. First published from 1993 to 1997, it tells the very British adventures of Captain Winston Bulldog, airship commander in the Aerial Defense Force, continuing his fight against the Vegenation, though he'd rather spend the evening in the pub playing darts.      Peterborough SF Club has found itself an Honourary President. Peter F. Hamilton has kindly agreed to take on the position for the next few years. In his own words, "I look forward to filling the role in the best tradition of presidents the world over, i.e. Clinton, Mugabe, and the one from China who I can never remember. Go home and prepare yourself for tyranny".


     Next years Fantasy Fair (11) is planned for Sunday 6 May at the Cresset Exhibition Centre, Bretton, Peterborough. Expect the usual mix of dealers, demos, guests and Fantasy Dress competition.
     The Fair will be part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Peterborough SF Club.
