KINKY TV
By Suzi Kuba

Some of the chaps from the SF Club who go drinking together at weekends had a vote on who were the kinkiest women on television. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME. The entries were judged for Fetishism, drama and context. Before we run through the top ten, lets have a look at the other nominations just outside the chart.

Morticia Adams, (French speaking Goth queen); Bear van Beer, (knew nothing about music and lied about her qualifications to present Top of the Pops); Mary from Eastenders, (leather-wearing punkette who went from stripping to prostitution); Wilma Flintstone, (fur wearing stone-age beauty); Phillipa Forester, (wore leather when presenting kids TV); Annette Mills, (Muffin the Mule, say no more); Lilly Savage, (especially in her Avengers sketches); Servalan, (wore evening dresses to battle); and Carole Voorderman, (wore thigh-length leather boots on Jim'll Fix it).

     Now to the Top Ten.

At number ten it's the woman in the Krankies. Dressed as a schoolboy, something odd going on there.

Number nine is Jenny Agutter reading Jackanory in black leather jeans and asymmetric patterned jumper, she had punk chic but we can't remember the story.

At number eight Pan's People. On television for years, their act seldom included anything more interesting than St. Trinnians-style schoolgirls or baby-doll nighties.

Those Moonbase girls from UFO are at seven. With purple wigs and silver costumes, the sequence when one got changed in the first episode is particularly memorable.

Climbing at number six is the Rain advert for ITV Weather. Rubber, water, oh if it was on more often. Pray there isn't a drought.

Number five, one of those long time favourites, Hot Gossip. Six girls, three guys, undies, leather, oh yes.

At Number four is Leela from Doctor Who. Saturday tea-time and Dad's stayed watching the box after the football results for this shammy-leather clad beauty with a knife.

Emma Peal is at number three. She only gets this high because of the Queen of Sin costume from 'A Touch of Brimstone' and the occasional bit of leather ware in the black and white days.

In at number two is Xena, Warrior Princess. Big and in leather with her cute young friend, a possible tip for the top.

But still at number one after more than thirty years, Cathy Gale. Dating from the early-sixties, this leather wearing blond goddess was an eye-opener and a trouser-popper.
